Checklist: What to Bring
Clothing
- Casual school appropriate clothing for classes and activities.
- Jacket or sweater
- Pajamas and personal garments
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Clothes hangers (optional)
School Supplies
- General supplies (paper, notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters, etc.)
- Scientific/graphing calculator (CAPC and Prep Camp Excel only)
- Laptop or Chromebook type word processing device (Middle School and High School Camps only)
- Backpack or book bag
- CAPC students should also bring a copy of their transcripts and any materials they wish to share with the college counselors.
Laundry supplies (for longer programs)
- Detergent - coin operated laundry machines available in all dorms
Bath Supplies
- Bathrobe, slippers or shower shoes
- Toiletry items in caddy/bag: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, hairdryer etc.
Miscellaneous
- Any necessary medications in their original containers
- Copy of pharmacy and insurance cards
- Refillable Waterbottle
- Cell phone (optional)
- Camera (if not bringing a phone with camera) - Optional
- Alarm clock (if not bringing phone with alarm)
- Spending money (for souvenirs and misc. personal items)
- Desk lamp (if convenient and desired)
- Fan (if convenient and desired)
- Books for pleasure reading
- Sunscreen (also consider a long-sleeved shirt, a hat, and sunglasses)
Bedding/Towels: Stanford and Brown University only

Stanford provides students the opportunity to rent a linen package for the week from the front desk:

Linen packs include a set of bed linens and bath towels. Packs may be rented for $41 for 7 days or less, or $53 for 8 days or more. The charge for an unreturned linen pack is $150

Checklist: What Not to Bring
- Weapons of any kind (including pocket knives and martial arts devices);
- Any flame-producing device (including matches, lighters, and firecrackers);
- High energy drinks, such as Red Bull, Monster, and Amp;
- Pets of any kind;
- Televisions or video games;
- Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, skates, or shoes with wheels;
- Water guns;
- Halogen lamps, refrigerators, or cooking devices;
